Description
Popayán is located in the department of Cauca at 1700 metres above sea level. The region’s topography is perfect to grow exceptional coffee.
The so-called Meseta de Popayan is sheltered by the Andes mountain range which helps generate homogenous climactic and altitudinal characteristics. The result is a balanced profile with floral, fruity and caramel notes.
Around 65 growers contribute the the Popayan Reserve program that encourages farmers to focus on quality with up to a 20% premium above market price being offered to quality lots.
